"BE YOUR OWN SANTA CLAUS"

(c)1988, David Humes

Do you believe in Santa Claus? Believe it or not, an entity exists that represents him. And this entity is much more powerful than the "real" Santa Claus. The "entity" is you!

You have the power to manifest greater things than "Santa Claus" ever has, because you know (hopefully) what you really want out of life. "Santa Claus" could only give you certain material things. And it was always within the confines of his budget.

But wait! Why put your faith in someone outside of yourself who doesn't really know how you feel or what you need? You know yourself better than anyone!

Only you can give yourself the greatest gifts in the world - the nonmaterial gifts that make life worthwhile. For example: peace of mind; high self esteem and self confidence; happiness; and the power to visualize and grow into the "perfect" you, balanced physically, emotionally, mentally, financially and spiritually. But where do you begin and how can you manifest nonmaterial gifts? Here is a technique to help you begin.

"Imagine talking to a REAL Santa Claus. One that could make any desire come true. But this Santa can only grant nonmaterial gifts, specifically "a characteristic or trait change in your personality." Knowing you could have any characteristic or trait in your personality that you wanted, what would it be?"

Be your own Santa Claus, because you truly are. The trait you would most like to acquire (more self confidence, a positive mental attitude, better communication skills, more self esteem, overcoming fear, overcoming procrastination, etc.) is the one you need to start working on NOW. After that is handled, start on the next trait, and the next, until you have acquired all of the traits you desire.

Purchase books and/or tapes that show you how to develop the trait you are currently working on. You're worth it! With a minimal investment and a sincere desire to grow, you will reap rewards that will be with you for the rest of your life! No one can take away your attitude. By turning driving time into productive time, you can get the equivalent of a college degree in about two years by listening to educational cassette tapes.

As you improve and grow as a person, so will your musical career. All growth begins with personal growth. Success comes to and is sustained by those who are big enough as a person to handle it. Once you have grown "big" enough, you will be able to handle the success that you're seeking in the music business.

Understand that it's OK to want to be a "big" person. By a "big" person, I mean a person that: 1) is an asset to his/her family, friends, the music community and the world at large; 2) is a doer that radiates supreme confidence (not a waiter or a bragger); and 3) sincerely cares about people and encourages them to go for their dreams. The "bigger" you are, the more you have to give to the world.

Grow! Grow!! Grow!!! Feed your brain with information that will be useful and beneficial to you for positively reinforcing your belief in yourself. It will propel you toward your desired musical situation.

Remember, NOTHING outside of yourself will EVER make you happy. Your "perfect mate," "perfect band," your next piece of musical equipment, even arriving at your "ideal musical or personal destination" won't make you happy. YOU make you happy! There is no WAY to happiness; happiness, IS the way.

Like it or not, you are your own Santa Claus. If you're not receiving the "gifts" you think you should be receiving, look in the mirror and ask yourself "Why?" This Christmas, give yourself the best present you could possibly ever hope for. Give yourself a lifetime commitment to positive personal growth. Do it now!
